JESUS

We believe Jesus is the risen King that died to reconcile us to God. He is the way, the truth and life and no one comes to God except through Him. We believe that one day He will return to defeat death once and for all and will give the Kingdom to His Father. Until then we believe the Holy Spirit is at work among His people to conform them to the likeness of Jesus.

MISSION

Shiloh Mennonite Church exists to worship and glorify God by
  • Bringing people into fellowship with Jesus Christ and His body
  • Growing them into maturity in Christ
  • Sending them into the world as witnesses of Christ

MENNOS

First of all, Mennonite refers to a Christian movement not an ethnic background. The Mennonites began as part of the anabaptist movement during the Reformation. A key feature of the Mennonite movement is the belief that baptism is an expression of faith in and loyalty to Christ, which many evangelical protestant movements today do, and that Jesus' call to love our enemies impacts all aspects of our life. One expression of that Mennonite movement today in the US is the Conservative Mennonite Conference (CMC). As a partner with other churches in the CMC, Shiloh finds encouragement and has an opportunity to reach the lost around the US and the World.

BELIEFS

We believe God (Father, Son and Spirit) created all things good BUT because of Sin -- death and the Devil have sway over God's world. However, out of love, God created a people, starting with Abraham to be in a special relationship with Him. Eventually Israel became captive to Sin and Jesus came to renew the covenant with Israel. Through the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, Death and Sin have been defeated. Gentiles can now enter the people of God through faith in Christ. Currently, the Holy Spirit is at work preparing God's people for the world to come, when Sin and Death are totally eliminated.
